Musical Interlude: Old School Friday - Kid Groups

Happy Old School Friday! I'm back at the wheel this week since I had to grab the OSF keys back from That Girl Boo before she posted another Whitney Houston video. Today's theme is "Kids Groups." This was kind of a hard topic because the Jackson Five and New Edition immediately came to mind, so they're out. Then I remembered this group of one hit wonders from England who were hot, hot, hot for one summer back in 1982.

Here's the Musical Youth, with Pass the Dutchie.

Oh yeah, that was the groove. Hope you enjoyed it and don't forget to check out the rest of the Old School Friday crew.

I used to kill this song back in the day. I sang it like they were passing the dutchie to me. LOL

Oh how cute! I figured the J-5 and New Edition would be top picks this week, too. So, I opted for 2other kid groups. Drop by when you get a chance for a real surprise!

"Dis Generation"; lol I've never heard this before, but it's kind of crunk; lol

This song was the jam especially when Missy Elliot remixed it. What's a dutchie anyway, I know what a dutch is, but not a dutchie.

Funky Finga Productions featured this as well. I like it!

You were right about not another Whitney tune. ;) Serious, we need to pray for her (Whitney not Boo!).

i have NEVER heard of this joint, but it definitely has a catchy beat to it and the dress and theme is definitely early-80's!

@All - thanks everybody for dropping in and forgive me for not staying up on the comments the way I should. I been dealing with some issues y'all, so bear with. And if I haven't made it to your site to check out your OSF, don't worry, it ain't Friday again yet!
